Permanent part-time 24 hours per week

We are seeking applications from passionate registered health professionals to join the team at Otago Community Hospice. This position co-ordinates and continually develops The Kowhai Programme: a needs based, education programme for families/whanau and patients.

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the programme, coordinating and delivering education seminars and developing the programme. The programme is holistic and follows the principles of Te Whare Tapa Wha.

We are looking for a motivated, organised person able to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues. The role requires clinical experience in rehabilitation, self-management and the ability to think holistically about the needs of patients and families/whanau requiring specialist palliative care.

Candidates need to be registered with experience in either palliative care or a relevant area of health care. Ongoing training and education will be offered to you to achieve our goal of meeting the needs of every palliative care patient in our region.
