Hospice CEO Ginny Green says The Night Circus was born out of a ‘the Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ debrief from the last Hospice Gala event.

“We felt that we were swimming in a really crowded pool of black tie dinner fundraising events. We wanted to create a point of difference, and to give our supporters a unique experience.

We came up with the idea of The Night Circus, and the Dunedin Casino came on as our event sponsor, which is a perfect fit. This year, we guarantee guests attending The Night Circus can expect the unexpected; it’s designed to be a night full of surprises. And we hope it will also become our core fundraising event of the year.”

Dunedin Casino General Manager Karen Williams says her organisation was thrilled to be brought on board with such a novel event.

“We wanted to be able to support an event where everything was donated to make that event happen, and ensure every dollar coming from participants is going directly towards the vital Hospice Service we have in our region.

This event has come together beautifully, with our Casino team being able to add a real flare and energy to the event, creating a true spectacle. Without giving anything away, the night includes magic, dance, music, fire and show girls!”

The Night Circus is being held at Otago Polytechnic’s Hub on Saturday May 18th, and is sponsored by Dunedin Casino and proudly supported by Otago Polytechnic and Gravity Events.
