Farmers stores throughout New Zealand raise funds for their local hospice throughout November and December.
The overarching campaign is called Caring Connections in our Community which reflects the community based nature of hospice services and the sense of connection that Farmers has in the community.
There are two ways that people can support hospice at Farmers stores – via the Tree of Remembrance or by purchasing a specially designed hand painted bauble.
The Tree of Remembrance is an opportunity to remember someone special in the lead up to Christmas. Everyone who makes a donation will receive a card to write their personal message on, they can then place it on the dedicated remembrance tree that is in each store.
“All funds raised in Otago will remain in our community to support Otago Community Hospice and enable us to keep our services free of charge to everyone who needs us.” Explains Hospice CEO Ginny Green.
