Over 300 cars took to the road on Sunday the 24th of November for the Annual Otago Community Hospice Charity Cruise & Car Show. We're still waiting on confirmation of the total raised but the word on the street is it's BIGGER than last year!

The event is organized by Dunedin's very own Schumacher - Ken that is - and is open to anyone with a road-legal and unique car or motorbike.

This the 15th year the event has been held. It's experienced all kinds of weather in that time but this year it was a stunning Ōtepoti spring day.

Everyone meet at Hancock Park, where the public could view the cars and make a donation to Hospice. There were coffee and ice cream trucks and entertainment was supplied by Foxy Tunes.

Prizes were handed out for best of British, United States, Australian, Japanese and European vehicles, as well as the best motorcycle, and then all 300 plus cars left for a cruise of Dunedin and Mosgiel.

As well as a $10 entry fee - which goes directly to Hospice - the car owners donate a pack of biscuits for our shop volunteers. This year we got over 150 packs!

A big thank you to Amy and Marj (Volunteer) who were on the gate and of course Ken - the driving force behind this iconic Dunedin Event.
