Ella O'Brien retires after 28 years volunteering!

Ella started in the Hanover Street Hospice Shop and then came to North Road to volunteer on reception.

It is because of the dedicated service of volunteers like Ella that the Hospice is able to provide the services it does to patients and their whanau. Although Ella is a bit of an overachiever, giving a whopping 28 years to Hospice!

We would have loved to have thrown her a party worthy of her time with us, but, as anyone who knows Ella would understand, she did not want a fuss. So instead we settled on a small group of people from each area to have a nice afternoon tea.

We really appreciate your many years of commitment Ella, and wish you all the best for your well earned retirement.

The Farewell Team: Cheong (was on reception when Ella started) Nicki (IPU Nurse) Barbara (weekend cleaning volunteer of 23 years). Ella and Barbara used to volunteer on the same day each month. Ginny, the boss.
