We know it is a lot! However there are reasons for it. The Daily Food Diary (the spiral bound one where you write the food in and sign off the cleaning). ALL of the yellow bits need to be signed off. Yes we are aware that it is duplicating the information that his on the 'Inpatient Daily Diet Requirements' (the patient meal order form on the clipboard). However they have different functions. The Daily Food Diary is for the Dunedin City Council for the yearly audits and needs to show records of what food is served - it CANNOT have confidential information in it (ie patient names). The Inpatient Daily Diet Requirements is a record of what a specific patient eats and can be tracked back if a patient experiences any food related symptoms - it is destroyed after two weeks.
