She will be attending fundamentals, have one case that she will be working alongside and  generally gaining an understanding of palliative care and the role of the Otago Community Hospice and the staff within it.

Danya is keen to make the most of this opportunity to learn more about how occupational therapists enhance the life of individual’s in palliative care.

"I am most looking forward to meeting a range of different people from different professions and getting to see how each person plays a role in enhancing the quality of life for people receiving palliative care. Also learning more about how an occupational therapist is utilised throughout palliative care as before I received my placement I was not aware this was an area occupational therapist were involved in."
